VHF/UHF Front-End for Software Receiver
Losenický, Roman ; Vágner, Petr (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
The first part of this work contains the detailed analysis of the basic VHF and UHF receiver characteristics. The most important parameters, like Noise figure, selection or gain, are qualified shortly. The following chapter analyzes above-mentioned parameters and shows some calculations and analysis to design a receiver. In the third part the receiver design is proceed. It specifies a basic block diagram. The base of design is formed by a mixer SRA-1+, which choice is not part of this project. Design of preselectors is the main goal of the project. They use BF998 FET transistors and band pass filters determining three frequency bands: 140-145 MHz, 220-230 MHz and 420-430 MHz. Filtered signals go on into the channel selector afterwards. The user can determine , which one of the three input signals will be routed to the mixer, using a switching diode HSMP3823. Each part, including preselector amplifier and filters, is placed into the separated tinned boxes. These boxes are linked with the switching circuit by the coaxial line.
Satellite Receiver with Integrated Antenna Tuner
Matoušek, Martin ; Pítra, Kamil (referee) ; Urbanec, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is focused on proposal of receiver with Integrated Antenna Tuner operating at 28 MHz. The design was primarily focused on simplicity and low power consumption. The receiver is adapted for SSB modulation. This work was realized for the transmission of audio signals. SSB modulation is far more efficient in terms of the radio spectrum used. First part of this thesis describes about the Antenna Tuner and block diagram of a receiver. Next parts are focused on proposal of individual blocks of the receiver, especially its most important parts. Finally, the overall evaluations of the design characteristics of SSB receivers with Integrated Antenna Tuner are discussed.
Measurements of the DVB-T Digital Television Receiver Parameters
Komenda, Jan ; Štukavec, Radim (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the measurement of selected parameters of the digital TV receiver DVB T, set top box. In the introductory part the work briefly deals with the theory of compression and transmission of the digital TV signal. Main part of the thesis contains detail information about individual circuits of the selected set top box Humax F3-FOX T and the results of measurements of individual parameters obtained from the available measuring devices. The final part of the thesis deals with the design changes necessary for creation of the external output for the signals and also with the methodology of the measurement.
Measurements of the DVB-T Digital Television Receiver
Kobza, Jaromír ; Džubera, Jakub (referee) ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is focused on a receiver for digital television broadcasting set-top box, mainly on its features, parameters and measurement. The important point of this work is the possibility to analyze and visualize the parallel transport stream in the same time and the solution of this problem. The principle of tuner and its measuring is deeply discussed. The text is supported with oscilloscope screenshots in particular parts of decoding stream. The set-top box is modified for laboratory measurement purpose and the transport stream output is added. An example laboratory exercise was created as a part of this work.
Web Application for Learning of Guitar Playing
Mikota, Michal ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
Tools for teaching musical instruments have been with us for hundreds of years and, like everything else, have gradually adapted to the present day. However, a large number of these applications are overly complex, confusing, and generally unfriendly for their users. At the same time, there are only a handful of apps that have an implemented feature of real-time detection of the played note by the player, which is very desirable and necessary for beginner and moderately advanced guitar players. This bachelor thesis demonstrates and explains the implementation of the various tools needed for teaching using techniques for dominant frequency detection and filtering out unwanted audio artifacts using an algorithm from the field of convolutional neural networks. At the same time, the goal is to focus on the robustness of the algorithm, i.e., it can detect and determine the played tone on the guitar even in noisy environments. The algorithm used by the individual tools developed within this application, combined with a simple user interface, provide the alternative for teaching how to play guitar.

Design and implementation of an automatic guitar tuner
Zatloukal, Tomáš ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Appel, Martin (advisor)
Goals of this thesis are design and realization of automatic guitar tuner. First, a research was carried on of availalbe tuners and sensors on the market, which is followed up by design of the hardware and software. The device processes sound emitted by string and turns guitar’s machine head via electromotor, achieving tunning. The design of the tuner is aimed to be held in one hand. Processing of entry data and control of the motor is done by development board with ESP32.
Acoustic tuner with audio output
Kučera, Josef ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare selected algorithms used in practice for tuning indication. Within the thesis, the selected algorithms are tested in Matlab environment on a series of audio samples, in order to select the most suitable algorithm for the realization of the tuner. The selected algorithm is implemented on the Arduino platform using Arduino IDE enviroment. Moreover, a voice output is created for tuning indication.

Comparison of modern television broadcast standards
Musil, Karel ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor) ; Pavlík, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis is thematically focused on modern TV broadcast standards. The emphasis is on the future development and possibilities. The first part provides a comprehensive overview of the main topic addressed in terms of significant changes in the second generation of digital technology. Including methods currently tested. The greatest emphasis is placed on terrestrial broadcast due to the significance of this method in the Czech Republic and currently ongoing transition to the second generation of broadcasting. The second part focuses on the analysis of the actual developments, and the not too distant future of the television broadcasting. The actual situation of the auction of frequencies is introduced together with the estimation of the allocation of the spectrum. Analyses the potential costs for the viewer and the signal provider, and compare the status of broadcasting in Europe with the situation in the Czech Republic. Further, are defined and analysed the possibilities of the next development of the terrestrial broadcasting.
